About me
DClinPsy, CPsychol,
I am a fully qualified Clinical Psychologist, which means I have a degree in Psychology and a Doctorate Qualification in Clinical Psychology. I have also had further training in Systemic Family Therapy. I am registered with the British Psychological Society, the Health and care Professionals Council (HCPC) and I am fully insured.
As a Clinical Psychologist, I am trained in a number of disciplines including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Systemic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) and other Mindfulness-based therapies. I tend to use a combined approach tailored to suit the particular issues involved and also the person/people I am working with.
I worked in the NHS for over 20 years, culminating as the Head of Psychology in a large award-winning NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in London. I left the NHS in 2020 to focus on my Independent practice.
I also provide consultations and training to organisations and groups around parenting and mental health. I have consulted to NCT groups, parent groups, corporate organisations, cultural institutions such as the RSC and schools. I also supervise other Clinical and Counselling Psychologists.
I have been working in independent practice for over 14 years. I am also a parent and have three children.
